About Taylor Academy
The Phil and Eli Taylor Performance Academy for Young Artists has been providing high-calibre musical training for exceptional young musicians for over three decades.

The Royal Conservatory first created The Young Artists Performance Academy for extraordinary young musicians aged eight to 18. Built on the philosophy that young talent, when properly nurtured and expertly trained, can become exceptional. Today, The Taylor Academy is recognized as one of the finest training programs for young artists in North America.

In 2013, The Royal Conservatory announced a transformational gift from Phil and Eli Taylor. In honour of this extraordinary contribution The Royal Conservatory’s Young Artists Performance Academy was named The Phil and Eli Taylor Performance Academy for Young Artists.

Our comprehensive program has developed the performance skills, musicianship, and academic excellence of its students, creating artists, teachers, and cultural leaders. Graduates of the program include many of Canada’s leading performing artists, such as Stewart Goodyear, Yi-Jia Susanne Hou, and Jan Lisiecki. Individuals who have achieved success and recognition around the world and allowed Canada to take its place among global leaders in the performing arts.
