The inaugural course in the RCM Online Strings Teacher Courses series is designed to refine teaching techniques for teaching elementary-level violin students. For $549, plus the cost of books, learn from the comfort of your own home or anywhere with internet access, at any time. The 10-week course requires 4-6 hours of work per week and includes innovative strategies and insights from esteemed pedagogues like Martin Beaver, Rebecca Henry, Barry Shiffman, Timothy Ying, Mimi Zweig, and others.

What You’ll Achieve:
Upon completing this course, you will have:
- Established a strong foundation for teaching stringed instruments at the Elementary level, focusing on The RCM Certificate Program.
- Acquired insights into selected repertoire, technique, and etudes from The RCM Elementary levels
- Expanded your network by connecting with up to 25 dedicated teachers
- A summative portfolio, built from all your course assignments - a valuable tool to build your teaching practice
- Course graduates who have submitted at least two successful violin exam candidates at the required levels within two years of course completion and who have achieved the RCM Level or equivalent that corresponds with that designation are eligible to become an RCM Certified Teacher at no extra cost.
