Stocks and Securities
Did you know that by donating stock you can eliminate the capital gains tax and realize immediate tax savings? You receive a tax receipt for the fair market value of the securities and you will not be subject to any capital gains tax. Making a gift of stock rather than selling the stock first, and donating the proceeds will also enable you to make a larger gift at a lower cost.

US Donors
Many of our donors, alumni, and students are from the United States, and we are pleased to accommodate their tax filing requirements. The Conservatory accepts gifts from US-sourced income and provides tax receipts through our 501(c)(3) affiliate, Royal Conservatory of Music Foundation (United States).

Endowments
Endowments are a meaningful way for donors to create a legacy of support for programs at The Royal Conservatory. When a donor establishes an endowed fund, the donation is invested and provides income to support a named scholarship, program or other operating activity of the donor’s choosing. The named endowment creates a lasting tribute to the person or organization being recognized.
