We are committed to bringing you inspiring live music and events, in a way that is safe and responsible.
The Royal Conservatory of Music is following all Health Canada, Public Health Ontario, and Toronto Public Health guidelines, and implementing all recommendations to protect the health of our audiences, students, artists, faculty, staff, and community members.
We are adhering to current government-regulated capacity limits for indoor events.
The TELUS Centre, including Koerner Hall and our other concert venues, has the following procedures in place for anyone entering the building:
- The Royal Conservatory requires proof of full vaccination by approved COVID-19 vaccines, along with a photo ID for entrance into the building and all theatres. As defined by Toronto Public Health, currently individuals are considered fully vaccinated once they have received the second dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine series (e.g., Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca) and where 14 days have passed since their final dose.
- Physical Distancing everywhere in the building and concert halls.
- Mandatory masks everywhere in the building, including during concerts.
- Hand sanitizer is provided at every entrance/exit, and key locations throughout the building.
For concert tickets:
- We have reduced seating capacity (the number of seats available) to ensure safe physical distancing at all our concerts.
- Tickets are now purchased by section, rather than for specific seats, to enable our staff to seat everyone at safe distances.
- Tickets to in-person and online concerts may be purchased via our website, by phone at 416.408.0208, or in person (note: limited in-person hours).
- The box office in the TELUS Centre has permanent plexiglass barriers.
- On the day of the concert, the Conservatory will help ticket purchasers to access seat(s) within the section they have purchased, to ensure physical distancing protocols are followed.
- You can choose print-at-home tickets or bring your e-tickets on your mobile device on the day of the performance. Tickets are not currently being sent by mail.
- To enter the RCM premises to attend a concert, all persons must provide proof of full vaccination by approved Covid-19 vaccines. Individuals with medical exemptions from vaccination may instead provide proof of a negative test result for COVID-19 administered within 48 hours of the time that access to the premises is being sought.
- Ticket purchasers will be provided with more information and special instructions via email prior to each concert date.
Staff are trained to support you, ensure your safety, and help you navigate the procedures.

Before You Arrive
A waiver and a health questionnaire: To ensure that your return to our building is secure, everyone who enters the TELUS Centre for Performance and Learning must complete and submit a health and exposure pre-screening, and a liability waiver form. If you have booked more than one ticket, please submit the full name and email address of all your guests by emailing [email protected] 48 hours before the show. Prior to the concert, you will be sent a web link from Envoy, our contact tracing application. Only concert attendees who have completed the required form will be allowed entry. Printed forms will be available to complete and submit at the building entrance, but we highly encourage you to complete the form online through Envoy, prior to your arrival to avoid longer wait times. On subsequent visits to the RCM you will only be required to fill out the COVID questionnaire. Your signed liability waiver will be automatically attached to your future tickets.
Mandatory Masks: All guests and staff are required to provide their own masks and must be worn prior to entering the TELUS Centre and while on the premises, including in Mazzoleni Concert Hall, and Temerty Theatre during the performance.
Arrival at the venue
We recommend that you arrive at the building 30-45 minutes prior to show time. This will allow a comfortable amount of time for entry protocols to be followed and for ushers to facilitate physically distanced seating.
Mandatory Temperature Checks: All concert attendees will be checked using a touchless thermometer device upon arrival at the building. Anyone with a temperature of 38˚C (100.4˚F) or higher will be asked if they would like to take a second temperature test after a 10-minute waiting period. If the second reading is still 38˚C or greater, and doesn’t have a medical certificate to explain a medical or physical condition that would result in an elevated temperature, the individual will be denied entry and will be provided with an information sheet advising individuals to follow the instructions from the Government of Ontario’s COVID-19 self-assessment tool (see Self-Assessment Tool) to determine how to seek further care or they can contact their doctor.
Entering the Building
You will be entering the building through the glass box office entrance on Bloor Street. All individuals must use the designated entrances and exits. All individuals are required to wear their mask prior to entering the RCM premises.
Physical Distancing: All individuals in the RCM building must always practice physical distancing. Physical distancing of at least 2 metres (6.5 feet) away from other people will be encouraged and facilitated.
If you require assistance please refer to our accessible building information under the Accessibility tab or contact us at 416.408.0208.
The Weston Family Box Office will be open 3 hours before the concert, for purchases and ticket pick up in the lobby. There will be plexiglass barriers between the box office staff members and concert attendees. Showing ID to the staff is required to pick up tickets.
If you selected E-tickets as an option, please print your tickets or have your phone ready for your tickets to be scanned.
A limited number of $15 Rush Tickets are available starting 3 hours before all performances presented by The Royal Conservatory. Rush Tickets are limited to one ticket per person. Seat locations are assigned at the discretion of the box office and ushers. Rush Tickets are available by phone only, on a first-come first-served basis.
Washrooms will be available before and after performances.
Washrooms are cleaned and disinfected on a frequent basis. All washrooms are equipped with touchless faucets and touchless paper towel dispensers.
Reduced Capacity: We are following all government regulations for capacity limits to the number of people in the audience. This does not include performers or staff.
Physical Distancing: All seating is arranged with physical distancing between audience members.
Seating Designations: To ensure safe distancing, seating will be facilitated on arrival at the discretion of our ushers. All seating designations are final.
