    Music in Exile, is a series of concerts, lectures and films that explore the works and the context of Jewish composers who fled Germany during the 1930s, and the non-Jews who stayed behind, resisted the regime and became "internal exiles".

    2006 - 2007
    Music in Exile: Saturday, October 14 and Sunday, October 15, 2006 Following the critical success of ARC's 2003 Music Reborn series, Music in Exile is a fascinating weekend of concerts and lectures exploring the music of composers who fled Nazi Europe, as well as those who remained, removed themselves from a regular musical life and entered an "internal exile".

    ARC's fourth season featured Julius Who?, an exploration of the music of Dutch/ German composer Julius Röntgen, who was born 150 years ago and whose highly imaginative and instrumentally idiomatic works have been overlooked by the musical mainstream. - Coming Soon

    ARC's third season featured Reelmusic, an exploration of the chamber music of composers better known for their film scores, such as Franz Waxman (Sunset Boulevard), Bernard Hermann (Citizen Kane), Ennio Morricone (The Mission) and Nino Rota (La Dolce Vita). - Coming Soon
