The Conservatory Circle is an exclusive donor group which introduces its members to some of today’s most celebrated performers and those at the forefront of the music scene through a series of carefully curated events. The Conservatory Circle offers insight into musicianship and the thinking behind the playing. It explores all genres of music and is sure to deepen your appreciation and enjoyment in meaningful ways.

Tuesday, November 5, 2024 | Bach Solo Works   

Arguably the most important composer of all time, Johann Sebastian Bach revolutionized established musical conventions. Explore the Solo Violin Sonatas and Partitas of a composer whose work remains critical to the study of music and continues to influence modern composition.  With special guests, violinists Jonathan Crow (TSO) and Julia Wedman (Tafelmusik). Robert Harris (The Globe and Mail) leads the discussion.


Tuesday, December 10, 2024 | The Keys to Justice 

From being born in a displaced person’s camp to becoming Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada, The Hon. Justice Rosalie Silberman Abella’s life reads like a novel. While drawn to the legal profession from an early age, her other passion, music, was never far away. A gifted pianist, Rosie attained her ARCT at the age of 17. Dr. David Goldbloom leads a fascinating discussion on the role music has played in the extraordinary life of the first Jewish woman and refugee to sit on the bench of the Canadian Supreme Court.


Tuesday, March 18, 2025 | The Artist as Citizen 

President Emeritus of the Juilliard School, Joseph Polisi, believes that if music is to thrive in the 21st century,  artists need to be active and effective advocates for the arts in communities both large and small. Alexander Brose leads the discussion which explores these ideas and more, with reference to The Artist as Citizen a published collection of essays and speeches from Mr. Polisi’s 33 years as President of The Juilliard School.

  • Complimentary tickets to RCO / GGS Opera, Master Classes, and the performance portion of the Royal Occasion are subject to availability and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Conservatory Circle member privileges are extended to one donor household (maximum two people) or to a donor and their guest (maximum two people) for one full calendar year from the date of their gift.
  • Event invitations are non-transferable. We welcome guests of members, subject to capacity and advance registration.
  • Your Conservatory Circle membership includes annual benefits and advantages, the value of which must be deducted from your gift to determine the eligible amount. Accordingly, and in line with Canada Revenue Agency regulations, your receipt reflects a nominal deduction.
