Course Description

NOTE: All Fall and Winter Term classes are in person only. Tuition does not include textbooks or exam. Students are responsible for purchasing their own textbooks and registering for exams. 

New Concepts

  • the Middle Ages (chant, organum, motet, chanson, instrumental dance music)
  • the Renaissance Era (motet, mass, madrigal, chanson, keyboard music)
  • the Baroque Era (opera, cantata, concerto grosso, orchestral suite, keyboard music)
  • the Classical Era (symphony, oratorio, opera, piano concerto, sonata, chamber music)
REQUIRED COURSE TEXTBOOKS*: *Students must purchase course textbooks prior to the first class.

Advanced-level Theory courses are also offered during tthe Summer Theory Intensive. Please check back for dates, times, and registration details wihich will open shortly after March Break 2025.
