Your summer needs music adventures!
Music is a wonderful way to express yourself. Specifically designed for children ages 4-5,
Music Adventures Camp (previously called
Instrument Exploration Camp) combines movement, singing, games, and playing instruments. Offered four times throughout July and August this camp is a great way for budding young artists to gain basic musical and collaborative skills in a group learning environment.
Students will receive age-appropriate hands-on experience on select instruments, along with musicianship classes built around games and play-based activities. Daily schedules include free play and outdoor time weather permitting.
Campers must be minimum age as of the first day of camp.

Where do camps take place?
All of our day camps take place at
The Royal Conservatory, 273 Bloor Street West, in Downtown Toronto. Campers will have opportunities to spend time outside (weather permitting) and often take music related field trips to locations such as the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), the Edward Johnson Building (University of Toronto Faculty of Music), or jazz performances in Yorkville.
What are the age requirements for camp?
Campers must be a minimum of four (4) years of age as of the start date of camp, and independently (or with little assistance) use the washroom on their own. NOTE: If your camper does not meet these requirements, their enrollment may be cancelled at the discretion of The Oscar Peterson School administration team.
What does my child need to bring to camp?
Detailed instructions on what to bring will be sent in your camp welcome email, but please plan to bring a nut-free lunch and snacks, a water bottle, indoor shoes and outdoor shoes, season/weather appropriate clothing, and a change of clothes.
Will my child learn how to play a musical instrument at camp?
Music Adventures Camp is designed to cultivate musical expression, with the aid of age-appropriate musical instruments such as piano, percussion, and singing, and basic musicianship in a group class learning environment. Campers will not be enrolled in private lessons or receive 1:1 musical instrument instruction during their time at camp. To register for private lessons, please visit
our website, or
book a counselling call with our Registration Team to learn more about other programming options.
What if we are unable to attend camp? What is your withdrawal policy?
Last-minute absences from the camp due to medical reasons may be considered on a case-by-case basis. All early and after care fees are non-refundable. Please refer to our
withdrawal policies for detailed information.
Do you offer early care or after care?
Yes, we offer both Early Care (8:00 am) and Extended Care (4:00-6:00 pm) at an additional cost. You will be able to opt in when registering for camp.
